What am I doing?

I had been thinking it would be a nice way to celebrate my birthday. Little Miss is going to Nana and Papa's house tonight for a two day visit, her first overnight-away-from-me-I-think-I'm-going-to-cry visit. Actually, I have cried. Last night as I was laying in bed I was thinking about the entire carseat escapade that is going to take place as my dad and I (two novices mind you) attempt to secure her childseat into his car. Then it occured to me, once the childseat is in place, she goes in there and then they drive away. Me waving bye-bye and trying to hold back the tears. Again, it sounded like a great way to spend my birthday, but really it may have just been an awful, horrible idea.

The evening should follow with my husband and I getting to go out for a nice dinner and a movie, which we haven't been to since last August for our anniversary. I can't believe it's been so long since we've enjoyed something as simple as a movie theater experience. We sure used to take those type of evenings for granted. Then we have the next two days to spend together with Little Miss off enjoying her days with her Nana. Unfortunately our days are going to be filled with much labor and hardwork around our house. We both have to-do lists a mile long and have found it more than difficult to get anything accomplished with our opposite work schedules and 24/7 Little Miss duty. So we will be getting busy with that and missing our sweet girl to pieces!

Happy Birthday Meshellyn!!! Enjoy your time with your hubby, even though it will be an adjustment to have little Miss gone for a bit. I hope you have an extra special time!

I know it's hard to let them go that first time. Just know that she will have a GREAT time with Nana and that she'll be ecstatic to see you when she gets home! Those hugs and kisses are the best EVER! Have a great birthday!

Will had an install for work and even him talking about his parents taking Matthew for the weekend caused me to well up. I know you know she is in great hands, but it's still hard! Have a great weekend, get lots done, and most of all, enjoy time along wtih your hubby! Happy Birthday!
