Getting my groove back

I finally am beginning to feel that the "hard" part of pregnancy is over for me. So I've been celebrating. Well, not really, but I've been working hard at making up for the lack of motherly activities these past few months.

Here's a short recap of the last two days. Note: these activities involved the kitchen now that I'm enjoying being in there a bit more and the sight and smell of food doesn't make me need to vomit.

I have actually cooked dinner the past two nights.
Chicken with Noodles
Chicken Tortilla Soup

The fabulous part about this is that they were both new recipes and my husband enjoyed both of them so much he ate enough for two grown men. That is saying a great deal considering my cooking skills.

I've also enjoyed making Pumpkin Spice muffins and bread, as well as a fruit salad for nibbling on. Nothing too fancy, but it beats packaged and processed snacks.

I'm hoping this weekend to actually work on a menu for next week. It's been a long time!
